The Northwest Biophysics Consortium
(NBC) represents a group of investigators from the Northwest
region of the US and Canada with an interest in biophysical
research. The NBC's goal is to leverage unique resources and
expertise to accelerate research for a diverse spectrum of topics in
biochemical, biomedical, structural biology and material science
investigations. Investigators associated with the NBC possess
expertise in a range of solution biophysics and computational
biophysics domains, including:
- Analytical Ultracentrifugation
- Fluorescence Spectroscopy
- Small angle X-ray and Neutron Scattering
- Microscale Thermophoresis
- Light Scattering
|
- Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics
- Hydrodynamic Modeling
- Molecular Dynamics
- Quantum Molecular Mechanics
- High-Performance/Parallel Computing
|
In addition to its research mission, the faculty in the NBC is
dedicated to the training of future scientists at the postdoctoral,
graduate, and undergraduate level. The NBC offers a team-taught graduate
level course in solution biophysics focusing on solution methods for
the study of biopolymers, their interactions, and macromolecular assemblies.
On behalf of the faculty, postdoctoral fellows, and students in the NBC
I invite you to get in touch with us -- we will be happy to
collaborate with you. Our contact information can be found in the
Contacts sections on this webpage.
Sincerely,
Borries Demeler, Ph.D.
